02.06.2026 – Joint Board of Directors Meeting The Board of Directors Meeting of the Rotary Club of Mettupalayam was held on 02.06.2026 under the chairmanship of the President Rtn.Santhamoorthy. President-Elect Rtn. Sanjay Shankala requested the Board's approval to increase the Annual Subscription Fee, citing the rise in the US Dollar exchange rate and the consequent increase in Rotary International dues. After discussion, the Board unanimously approved the proposal. The Board resolved that the Incoming President shall submit an annual budget for each Rotary year. The Board further decided that new financial guidelines should be implemented to ensure effective control and monitoring of funds allocated for projects and contributions. The Board also considered the proposal to grant Honorary Rotarian Membership to Rtn. AKS. Pushpa Arumugam. The proposal was unanimously approved by the Board. 02.06.2026 49th Meeting of the Rotary Year 2025–26 Club Assembly ​The meeting commenced with the collaring of the President by Senior Sergeant-at-Arms Rtn. Mahesh Chander. The Club Prayer and Four-Way Test were also led by Rtn. Mahesh Chander. The Secretary's Report was then presented by Rtn. Vijai Vikkash. ​President's Updates • ​The President informed the members that the Board has approved an increase in the Rotary year subscription. • ​The Basketball Ground Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 24th June 2026. Detailed information regarding the Basketball Project's expenses and budget will be presented at the next meeting. • ​The President reported that on 24th May 2026, President Rtn. Santhamoorthy and President-Elect Rtn. Sanjay Shankala attended the inauguration of a Dialysis Machine at Surya Hospital, a project of the Lions Club, Mettupalayam. • ​President-Elect Rtn. Sanjay Shankala presented the proposed Budget for the Rotary Year 2026–27. ​Discussion on Subscription Increase Rtn. AKS NSV Arumugam and Rtn. R. Dorai expressed their concerns regarding the proposed increase in the club subscription. ​Rtn. Suresh Ananthakrishnan suggested that the club formulate clear guidelines for expenses and project donations so that financial matters can be regulated effectively in the future. ​After the discussion, the President sought the approval of the members for the subscription increase, and the proposal was approved by the members present. The meeting was adjourned and concluded with the National Anthem. ​Following the adjournment, a cake-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the birthday of Rtn. D. Boominathan. 09.06.2026 50th Meeting of the Rotary Year 2025–26 Regular The meeting commenced with the collaring of the President, Rtn. Santha Moorthy, by Rtn. Bipin. President Rtn. Santha Moorthy called the meeting to order. prayer and Four-Way Test by Rtn. Shanmuga Sudharshan. President’s Updates 1. The President welcomed and thanked all members present for attending the meeting. 2. The President informed the members that the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Savita Hospital was attended by four members of our club. He also appreciated Rtn.Sanjay for donating blood during the event. 3. The President reported that a needy patient requiring O' Negative blood was successfully supported through the initiative of the President, with blood being donated by Mr. Lokesh, Mechanic. 4. Members were informed that a Joint Board Meeting will be held on the coming Tuesday. 5. Regarding the Basketball Court Inauguration scheduled for 24 June 2026 at 9:30 AM, the President announced that District Governor Nominee Rtn. Sivabalan will be the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour will include Rtn. Gnanashekar, Mr. Murali Babu, and other dignitaries. 6. The President informed the house that 55 members and one Platinum Member have registered for the forthcoming District Conference and thanked all members for their enthusiastic participation. 7. Members were reminded that the District Learning Seminar will be held on 14 June 2026, and all members were encouraged to register and participate. 8. The President presented an update on the Basketball Court Project. The court measures 115 ft × 75 ft, with an estimated Cost of Rs.12 Lacs   9. Rtn. Suresh Ananthakrishnan discussed the protocol to be followed while inviting and receiving the Chief Guest and other dignitaries for the Basketball Court Inauguration Ceremony. The meeting concluded with the National Anthem. 16.06.2026 51st Meeting of the Rotary Year 2025–26 Regular Collaring of the President by Rtn.Mahesh Chandar, followed by the Meeting Call to Order by President Rtn.Santha Moorthy. The Prayer and Four-Way Test by Rtn.Vijay Anandh.Secretary’s Report was presented by Joint Secretary Rtn. Senivasan. Key Discussions and Announcements Mr. N. Vijay Shankla and Mr. Varun attended the meeting and briefed members about the upcoming Drug Awareness Marathon, for which the Rotary Club of Mettupalayam is a Gold Sponsor. The event is scheduled for Sunday, 19th July 2026 and will feature a 10 km run and a 4 km awareness walk. Members were invited to participate. President informed members that a Board Meeting had been held earlier in the day and Explained the discussion. President-Elect Rtn. M. Sanjay Shankla thanked all the members who have registered and attended the  DTLS Seminar. President Elect informed that the Installation Ceremony for the incoming team would be held on Tuesday, 7th July 2026, at Guru Misri Rotary Hall, Metro School with District Governor Elect Rtn. MD. Arch. KK. Vijayachandran as the Chief Guest. All members were invited to attend. President-Elect Rtn. Sanjay Shankla Announced District officers assigned from our club Rotary club of Mettupalayam The President informed members that the budget and estimates for the proposed Clock Tower Project would be finalized with the contractor and communicated to the club shortly. Rtn. Dr. Vijayagiri presented an update on Project HEAL, highlighting that 38 medical camps had been successfully conducted during the year. He requested the incoming President to support a target of at least 50 camps in the coming year. He further reported that during a camp conducted at National School, a cancer patient was identified and subsequently received treatment. Dr. Vijayagiri thanked all volunteers and supporters who contributed to the success of Project HEAL. The meeting was adjourned concluded with the National Anthem. Following the meeting, birthday celebrations were held and a cake was cut by Rtn. Bipin, Rtn.Stephen and Rtn. Mahesh Chandar. Dinner Served to all.
