10.01.2026 Thai Thiruvizha -Pongal Celebration -Metro School. Metro Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Sponsored and Run By Rotary Mettupalayam, celebrated Thai Thiruvizha (Pongal Festival) with great joy and enthusiasm on Saturday, 10th January 2026. The celebration began with the preparation of Sweet Pongal, followed by the traditional offering to the Sun God, along with a special pooja conducted as per custom. The School Correspondent, Rtn.Muthusamy, Principal Mrs. S. Sulochana, and teachers actively participated in the pooja, adding grace and significance to the occasion. Students presented colourful and graceful cultural dances, showcasing the spirit of Tamil tradition. Various competitions such as Rangoli, Pongal pot decoration, and Uri Adi were conducted, encouraging creativity and teamwork among students.
